HumanAction gate-crashes the SA Blog Awards

Vote for this BlogHappy Friday to all you freedom-lovers out there.  It has come to our attention that HumanAction has made it into the finals as one of the top 10 business blogs in South Africa.  Now its time for the public to vote for their best!

We’ve never regarded HumanAction as some competitive endeavour or gone out to ‘be better’ than other blogs, but we are passionate about spreading the message of freedom to as many who will take the time to read and consider our views.  Ours is a quest for a revolution of thinking that permeates as much of society as possible.  Ideas matter.  As Ludwig von Mises once said,

“Thoughts and ideas are not phantoms. They are real things. Although intangible and immaterial, they are factors in bringing about changes in the realm of tangible and material things.”

If you are as passionate about freedom and economic justice as we are, and value what we put out on the blog on a near-daily basis, please consider heading over to The 2010 South African Blog Awards and voting for www.humanaction.co.za as best business and economics blog in South Africa.  If we do well, or even win, it will help raise the profile of the site and increase the spread of sound ideas that will make a difference.

Remember, the voting phase runs from 2-17 September, 2010, and the winners will be announced on 25 September.  You are allowed to vote once every 24 hours on the same email address, meaning that, should you be so inclined, you can vote about 15 times, or about 30 times if you have 2 email addresses!

We leave you with Mises,

“Violent resistance against the power of the state is the last resort of the minority in its effort to break loose from the oppression of the majority. The minority that desires to see its ideas triumph must strive by intellectual means to become the majority.”

“Both force and money are impotent against ideas.”
